February 2012 – Benita Stokes

Who are some of your favorite authors and what do you love about them?

Some of my favorite authors are you of course!

I have to say that I have a lot of favorite authors ,you being one of them. Love that you can connect with your readers, and you’re not afraid to interact with us. So Thank you!!! Your Stormy Weather series hooked me from the very beginning .I also love Shelly Lauernston, Chloe Neil, J.R Ward, there are some many I could go on and on. I love their reading style, each story is different but they all pull me in and keep me wanting more.

Do you have a favorite Selena book and if so, which one and why?

My favorite book has to be Seduced by a Cajun Werewolf , love Laurent ( can we make Lee or Paul Marron, Laurent please lol)

Favorite paranormal creature?

January 2012 – Reagan Whitten

Who are some of your favorite authors and what do you love about them?

Some of my favorite authors are you of course!

A few other favorite authors (and this is really hard because I have so many) are Rhyannon Byrd; her Primal Instinct series is awesome! I loved that there were more creatures than the typical werewolves & vampires. I really enjoy Jennifer Estep. Her elemental assassins series is the perfect combo of edge, sex, and murder; with people who can control the elements thrown in.

One other author I’d like to mention is HP Mallory. She isn’t as erotic and you or Rhyannon and isn’t as hard as Ms. Estep but her Jolie Wilkins series caught me from the beginning and I cannot wait for the last 2 books to come out. Other awesome authors I like are Kim Harrison, Kresley Cole, Sydney Croft, Lorissa Ione, Lorelie James, Jodi Redford, Lauren Dane, and Evangeline Anderson.

french/cajun aspect that you added to your Stormy weather series, I love that you tease us with Kaden and Ava and keeps us constantly wondering if they are ever going to hit the sheets, but I have to say my absolute favorite read by you was Instructing Adam!! Man oh man I wish I had the balls to do something as crazy sexy as Cindy does. I have never thought of customer service reps the same way again!!

Favorite paranormal creature?

I have to say that I don’t really have a favorite paranormal creature. I love all of them.

December 2011 – Danielle Dani Keith

Who are some of your favorite authors and what do you love about them?

My favorite authors are Patricia Briggs, Keri Arthur, Deborah Cooke, Yasmine Galenorn and Selena Blake (of course). All the authors mentioned have really engaging stories. They suck you in from the word go and they write the types of books that you just hate to put down.

Do you have a favorite Selena book and if so, which one and why?

My favorite book of Selena’s is Mated to a Cajun Werewolf. I just love André. He’s a lover with a big heart, but will fight for what he believes in no matter what it costs him. I loved reading about him in the other books, but his book was the icing on the cake for me. The way he treated Juliette through out the whole story was perfect. You couldn’t ask for a better man. I also like her free read Ready & Willing. I can’t wait to get the email that says that she’s put the next chapter up.

Favorite paranormal creature?

Werewolves, though I like shifters of all kinds (dragons, felines, merfolk, etc.), but I always go back to wolves. There’s just something majestic about them.

November 2011 – Gingy Hunter

Who are some of your favorite authors and what do you love about them?

The list is long for favorite authors, but some are: YOU, JR Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Larissa Ione, Kerrelyn Sparks, Shayla Black, Lorelei James, Eliza Gayle – I’ll stop now;) What I love about them? Their ability to throw all my favorite things into the mix. Erotica, romance, danger, kink, humor. Men that are passionate, self-assured, demanding, commanding, compassionate and bad-ass!

Do you have a favorite Selena book and if so, which one and why?

My favorite book of yours is ‘Bitten In The Bayou”. The whole story just curled my toes. M/F/M is a passion. I have to tell you that I got to go away for the weekend about nine months ago. It was shortly after reading your first books. I was definitely full of myself and in a ‘life is short’ frame of mind. So I decided to seduce one of the cowboys that was training a horse. Whoa!!! Fell into the best thing in my life and occasionally his equally hunky brother falls in with us. Since I don’t have a very efficient filter on my mouth you may have heard the ground shaking! SO I OWE YOU:)) and many, many thanks…

Favorite paranormal creature?

My favorite character is Vishous from BDB. That man (vampire) is smokin’…and the BDSM doesn’t hurt;-), well maybe a little!!!

October 2011 – Nia Shay

Who are some of your favorite authors and what do you love about them?

MaryJanice Davidson, Michele Bardsley, and Dakota Cassidy, because their heroines are awesome, kick-ass ladies with amazing senses of humor. Marjorie Liu and Robin D. Owens, because their characters are so deep and realistic, you feel like you’ve known them your enitre life. Plenty of others, too, but those are the major ones on my can’t-wait-for-the-next-installment list.

Do you have a favorite Selena book and if so, which one and why?

The Cajun’s Captive is my fave, because let’s face it ladies — who among us hasn’t daydreamed about our “crush” guys sweeping us off our feet, however literally? LOL!

Favorite paranormal creature?

I started out loving vampires from the time I was a kid, though honestly they’re getting a little played out even for my tastes. But really, I don’t think there’s a paranormal creature I *don’t* like.

September 2011 – Dawn Pressel

Who are some of your favorite authors and what do you love about them?

Wow, I have several I like James Patterson, Heather Graham, Nicky Charles, Harlan Coben, Lauren Dane, Stephanie Meyer, JK Rowling, Cora Zane, Everly Drummond, just about any Harlequin Blaze author (although some rush the ending like they just need to hurry and tie it all up), Nickolas Sparks, YOU and me (although I am not nearly good enough, I still like to dabble and my friends seem to like them). These are just a few. Why I like them is because of the characters they bring to life and how they bring them to life. Heaven knows I am a sucker for a happy ending ~ which is strange since I like Nicholas Sparks and most of his books end in some sort of tragedy but sometimes tragedy is unavoidable. I always tell people I will read anything but romance, but I find I am moving toward romance/eriotica more and more ~ hope the erotica will keep me a no romance reader.

Do you have a favorite Selena book and if so, which one and why?

Do you have a favorite book of yours? Why? And I like all of your books but if I had to pick just one…I have to pick Stranded with a Cajun Werewolf…Burke passes himself off as a man that could care less about much of anything because of his past (hell we have all been hurt a time or 4 in our lives) but he craves love and companionship beyond a causal romp he just doesn’t know it. As it states in the book he needed to get away from his family that is why he went to the mountain ~ to be alone. They all had someone, he didn’t…he was alone and lonely. Treating Kendall with such casual indifference was a way of pulling back because she was human (or so he thought), in the end he knew it didn’t matter if she was human or not, he loved her and sometimes love is enough to look beyond the differences between 2 people.

I do hope you come out with one more to answer some questions something like an epilogue 5 years later… where are these people 5 years after Marie showed up? what sex is Amanda’s baby? Is that the only baby any of them have? Is Violet still a vampire? Did Kendall move to the bayou? Are Violet, Kendall, Violet and Juliette all married to their men? What exactly did it mean when Marie gave them her immortality? What kind of child hood was it for the boys? You touch on how loveless it was but something had to have happened that drove them from their home, was there just one major event that forced them to leave? And why did the cousins go with them? Did the cousins have the same childhood?

Favorite paranormal creature?

Lord knows I love my Edward (Twilight books) but my favorite paranormal is a werewolf. They are strong, unafraid to love, not unwilling to be hurt…they protect, admire, honor and love their mates with every fiber of their being (and that isn’t just your books, so far it seems to be the pattern for any werewolf book I have read). And they are passionate, sex is uninhibited without restraint and without judgment…they work their ass off to satisfy their partner. What woman wouldn’t want that?

August 2011 – Akra Jhaki Zane Vhenom

Selena says: What to say about Jackie? She’s a force of nature. She’s in love with Kaden. She can always be counted on to join the party, cheer me on, and lift my spirits. It doesn’t hurt that she pushes and prods me to get my next book out, either.

July 2011 – Barbara Jones

Selena says: Twitter can be an intimidating place, especially for an author. It’s hard to squeeze in a thoughtful comment in 140 short characters but despite that, Barbara has become a great twitter friend.I always appreciate her enthusiasm and look forward to her comments and recommendations.

June 2011 – Jessica Garcia

Selena says: Jessica was one of my very first fans. In fact, she’s the first person to go absolutely nuts (in the best possible way, of course) over my book Bitten in the Bayou. I look forward to seeing what she has to say about each and every book and am blessed that she keeps coming back for more.

May 2011 – Jacque Moore Davis

Selena says: Jacque is one of my die-hard cheerleaders. She’s said so. Always enthusiastic and present on my Facebook page, she makes me smile frequently and I’m so thankful to count her as a friend and fan.
