Witches, Warlocks and Demons…

I’m busy finishing up the third round of edits on Andre’s book so author Yolanda Sfetsos is taking over my blog today to tell you about her new book. Be sure to check it out and drop by her website. Or leave a comment and say hello.

Hi everyone! My name’s Yolanda Sfetsos and I write urban fantasy, paranormal, futuristic and sci-fi stories. Phew. That was a bit of a mouthful, huh?

Firstly, I’d like to thank Selena for having me over here today!
My latest eBook release is called SEALED WITH A DEMON’S KISS. Here’s the gorgeous cover:

Man, don’t you just love it? It was made by Cris Griffin. The first time I saw it, I couldn’t believe how well she’d captured what I’d imagined the hero and heroine to look like. It’s amazing! But anyway, enough gushing about the beautiful cover, I wanted to talk about where the idea for this story came from. I have to say, it didn’t take long for this one to strike.

I really wanted to write a story featuring a heroine who happened to be a witch. Not just any witch, but a pentagram witch – one who was born with an actual pentagram on her back. They’re rare in this world I created and most of the time, find themselves being discriminated against. Even by their own kind. So, I knew a lot about Tamara from the beginning. As well as the hero, a demon called Tyler, who has a demon master he must obey but would much rather spend his days walking amongst the humans. From the start, I just knew they were made for each other.
The villains came to me while I was researching a particular demon I wanted to base Tyler on. I stumbled on warlocks and knew right away that they would be the perfect choice. Witches versus warlocks – one uses magic for evil, the other for good. Throw demons into the mix – who have a stake in both, as well as being vulnerable to evil magic – and the deeper mystery of the story popped up. Like I said, I pretty much knew exactly what was going to happen in this story, but it wasn’t until I was actually writing it that everything got twisted and clicked into place. I love it when that happens!

So, if you’re into paranormal/urban fantasy tales with a good dose of danger, betrayal, passion and love, you may want to check out SEALED WITH A DEMON’S KISS, currently available from Cobblestone Press. You can read an excerpt here.
